ode to my pants

I bought some pants

Of navy blue

They are not hip

They are not new

But they were cheap

A vintage find

I paid my cash

I made them mine

I washed them quick

I dunked them deep

I put them out

I went to sleep

I woke this morn

This wednesday date

Pushed snooze too long

To work I’m late

Shower comes first

I brush my hair

No coffee, damn

The cupboard bare

Boxers, shirt on

A half-clothed stance

And what comes next

I grab my pants

I slide them on

My shoes to tie

Jump in the car

To work I fly

Walk down the hall

Laughed at by buds

So I look down

They’re total floods

The Larry King Happy Song Corner

This is a story about Billy Joe and Bobbie Sue. Two young lovers with nothin' better to do. Than sit around the house, get high, and watch the tube. And here is what happened when they decided to cut loose. They headed down to, ooh, old El Paso. That's where they ran into a great big hassle. Billy Joe shot a man while robbing his castle. Bobbie Sue took the money and run. Go on take the money and run. Go on take the money and run… speaking of which. Is it just me, or is the line "Bobbie Sue took the money and run" grammatically incorrect? I’ve always wondered about that. See, Larry is smart, people.
